Based in York, England, I originally come from a marketing background having studied Marketing and Psychology at the University of Bedfordshire. Following University, I worked in various marketing positions doing PR, Advertising, Market Research and Marketing Planning and Strategy. As much as I enjoyed working in marketing, I realised the creative side of marketing was what I was most passionate about and in 1999 I took on the role of Copywriter at Norwich Union.
After a couple of years I was promoted to Senior Copywriter and then in 2004 I retrained as a Graphic Designer. I've been a Graphic Designer for the past 11 years now and love what I do. My marketing background comes in very helpful when interpreting what clients need and the fact I'm also a highly experienced copywriter means I can offer the whole marketing communications package (including proofreading!).

I have created copy for many media formats including websites and blogs, brochures, direct mail and editorials for magazines.
Much of my copywriting experience was gained in the financial services and estate agency industries, but more recently I have been working for companies within the wedding, IT and beauty industries.
